First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study aims to find more tuberculosis (TB) cases by improving diagnostic tools already available in low-resource clinics. About 1,584 adults with TB symptoms in Guinea-Bissau and Ethiopia will be tested using enhanced methods like instructed sputum collection, chest X-rays with computer help, and stool or mouth swab tests. The goal is to catch TB earlier, start treatment faster, and reduce how much the disease spreads in communities.
