New heart valve technique aims to reduce pacemaker risk

Summary
This study is testing whether using a slightly smaller replacement heart valve is better than the standard sizing method for patients with a specific type of bicuspid aortic valve. The goal is to see if the smaller valve reduces the need for a pacemaker and improves how well the new valve seals. About 206 patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the new 'down sizing' strategy or the standard approach.
