Exercise MRI reveals which heart valve performs best

NCT ID NCT05603026

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study compares two types of replacement heart valves (self-expanding vs. balloon-expandable) in people with aortic valve stenosis. Researchers will use exercise MRI to measure how well each valve works during physical activity. The goal is to see which valve provides better blood flow and exercise capacity. About 90 adults who need a valve replacement will participate.
