Ear zaps may help stroke patients move their arms again
NCT ID NCT07132021
First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether a non-invasive device that gently stimulates a nerve in the ear can improve arm and hand function in people who have had a stroke. Thirty adults with arm weakness from a stroke will receive either real stimulation or a sham (fake) version alongside daily physical therapy for two weeks. Researchers will measure changes in motor function, dexterity, and daily activities to see if the real stimulation provides extra benefit.
