New combo therapy aims to ease stubborn neck pain without surgery

NCT ID NCT07557823

First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a gentle nerve stimulation device (taVNS) to a standard epidural injection can better relieve pain from pinched nerves in the neck. About 80 adults with cervical radiculopathy will be randomly assigned to get either the real device or a sham device along with the injection. The main goal is to see if more people have at least a 50% drop in pain right after treatment.
