Scientists zap nerves to see if timing matters
NCT ID NCT07532005
First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at how different durations (5, 10, and 15 minutes) of a gentle ear nerve stimulation affect heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing in healthy adults aged 18 to 40. Participants will receive either real or fake (sham) stimulation on separate visits. The goal is to understand if longer stimulation produces stronger effects, not to treat any disease.
