First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looked at whether taking powdered tart cherries helps trained men and women recover from repeated sprints. Forty healthy, active adults did sprinting exercises and then took either tart cherry powder or a placebo. Researchers measured muscle soreness, strength, and signs of inflammation and damage. The goal was to see if tart cherries could speed up recovery and reduce discomfort.
