First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at whether combining mammograms and breast MRIs could help doctors better identify patients with early-stage breast cancer (DCIS) who could be treated with a single dose of radiation during surgery. The goal was to see if this approach could reduce the need for additional surgeries or extra radiation. The study was stopped early, and results were based on 36 participants.
