First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This pilot study tests whether a daily 30-minute Tao Calligraphy mindfulness practice can improve mitochondrial DNA levels in blood cells. Fifty healthy or ill adults (excluding those with genetic diseases, cancer, or serious mental disorders) will provide blood samples and complete quality-of-life surveys at the start, 3, 6, and 12 months. The goal is to see if this practice leads to measurable changes in cellular energy markers.
