Orange tomatoes may unlock more health benefits than red ones
NCT ID NCT01696773
Summary
This study aims to find out if the body absorbs healthy nutrients better from orange Tangerine tomatoes compared to regular red tomatoes. Researchers will measure how much of two types of nutrients (carotenoids and flavonoids) get into the bloodstream after people drink tomato juice. They will also check if eating these different tomatoes affects markers of inflammation in the body.
