Orange tomatoes: are they a better source of healthy nutrients?

NCT ID NCT01696773

Summary

This study aims to find out if the body absorbs healthy nutrients more easily from a unique orange tomato variety called Tangerine, compared to common red tomatoes. Researchers will measure nutrient levels in the blood and urine of 12 healthy adults after they drink either Tangerine or red tomato juice. The study will also check if eating these different tomatoes affects markers of inflammation in the body.
