Dialysis patients get a voice: new symptom tracker aims to ease suffering

Summary
This study tests whether a tablet-based symptom tracker, called SMaRRT-HD, helps dialysis patients feel better. About 2,400 adults with end-stage kidney disease at up to 36 U.S. clinics will either use the tracker or receive usual care. The goal is to see if regular symptom reporting with doctor follow-up reduces symptom burden and improves quality of life over 12 months.
