New hope for HER2+ breast cancer: switching drug combos after treatment fails

NCT ID NCT07455188

First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at what happens when people with HER2-positive advanced breast cancer switch between two different targeted therapy combinations after their first treatment stops working. About 600 women will be split into two groups: one switches from HP+chemo to HPy+chemo, the other does the opposite. The goal is to see which switch works better at controlling the cancer and helping people live longer.
