Pregnancy bladder leak relief: simple ball and breathing exercises show promise

NCT ID NCT07520396

First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at whether combining Swiss ball exercises with deep breathing can reduce stress urinary incontinence (leaking urine when coughing, sneezing, or exercising) in pregnant women. About 42 pregnant women with mild to moderate leakage will be split into two groups: one doing Swiss ball exercises with breathing, the other doing Swiss ball exercises alone. The goal is to see if adding breathing helps strengthen pelvic floor muscles and improve quality of life more than exercise alone.
