Double attack on obesity: surgery plus new drugs tested
NCT ID NCT07336862
Summary
This study is testing whether combining weight-loss (bariatric) surgery with a newer class of weight-loss medications (GLP-1 receptor agonists) works better for long-term weight management than surgery alone. It will involve 200 adults with severe obesity and related health issues like diabetes. Researchers will track weight loss, body fat, and other health markers for about a year to see if the combined approach is safe and more effective.
