Can a few days of radiation before sarcoma surgery be as good as weeks?

NCT ID NCT07265661

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether a very short course of radiation (ultra-hypofractionated radiotherapy) given before surgery is safe and works as well as longer radiation schedules for people with soft tissue sarcoma in the arms, legs, or trunk. About 142 adults with low-to-medium risk sarcoma will be randomly assigned to receive this short radiation or standard care. The main goal is to see how many patients have serious complications within 90 days after surgery.
