Wider brain tumor removal may extend life in select glioblastoma patients
NCT ID NCT04243005
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether removing a larger margin of brain tissue around a glioblastoma tumor (beyond what is standard) can help people live longer. It involves 90 adults with suspected glioblastoma who are healthy enough for surgery. The approach aims to remove more hidden cancer cells but also carries a higher risk of neurological side effects, so it is only offered to carefully selected patients.
