Virtual therapy trial aims to boost strength and spirits during lung cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT05339022
Summary
This study tested whether a 12-week virtual support program could help older adults with advanced lung cancer feel better physically and emotionally during their cancer treatment. One hundred participants aged 60 and older were randomly assigned to either receive the support program or standard care. The program combined weekly physical therapy sessions with guided relaxation exercises, delivered online, to see if it could improve patients' ability to perform daily activities and reduce anxiety and depression.
