Virtual therapy trial aims to boost strength and spirits during lung cancer fight
NCT ID NCT05339022
Summary
This study tested whether a 12-week virtual support program could help older adults with advanced lung cancer feel better physically and emotionally during their cancer treatment. One hundred participants were randomly assigned to either receive the program—which included guided physical therapy and relaxation exercises—or to continue with their standard care. The main goal was to see if the program was practical to run and if it could help patients maintain their ability to perform daily activities.
