VA tests couples therapy to lower suicide risk in veterans

Summary

This study compares two approaches for veterans with mental health and relationship problems: a 3-session couple-based program (Brief Relationship Checkup) versus standard individual care. The goal is to see which better reduces suicide risk factors by improving relationship health. About 360 veterans and their partners will participate.
