First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests a new temporary heart pump called the Supira System in people with coronary artery disease who need a high-risk procedure to open blocked arteries. About 358 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the Supira System or an existing pump (Impella). The goal is to see if the new pump reduces serious complications like death, heart attack, stroke, or kidney injury.
