First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study compares a new temporary heart pump, the Supira System, to an existing pump (Impella) in 358 people undergoing high-risk heart procedures. The goal is to see if the new pump reduces complications like death, heart attack, stroke, or kidney injury. Participants must be stable enough for elective or urgent procedures, but not in shock.
