Summary
This study tests a method called Safety Planning Intervention (SPI) to help prevent suicide. SPI is a single 45-minute session where a healthcare provider helps a person at risk create a personal crisis plan and connect to support. The study will involve 8,000 adults in Swedish psychiatric care and measure if it reduces emergency visits and hospital stays related to suicide attempts.
