Summary
This study looked at whether a therapy session could help people with alcohol use disorder who have had suicidal thoughts. Researchers wanted to see if talking about the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline made people more likely to use it during a crisis. They enrolled 488 adults who had both alcohol problems and recent suicidal thoughts or attempts.
