First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests a 10-week group intervention called Bridge the Gap, designed specifically for Black youth aged 12-17 who are having suicidal thoughts. The program adapts an existing suicide prevention model to be more culturally relevant. Researchers want to see if the group is feasible, acceptable, and can reduce suicidal thoughts while boosting hope, ethnic identity, and support from family and peers.
