New group aims to curb suicide in black youth

Summary

This study is testing a 10-week group therapy program designed specifically for Black teenagers (ages 12-17) who have had recent suicidal thoughts. The goal is to see if the program is helpful and acceptable, and if it can reduce suicidal thoughts while boosting hope, cultural pride, and support from family and friends. About 16 teens will take part, attending weekly sessions and completing surveys before and after the program.
