Could simple sugars help kids with rare disease?

NCT ID NCT04198987

Summary

This study tested whether daily dietary supplements of simple sugars could improve health in children with congenital disorders of glycosylation (CDG), a rare genetic condition. Researchers monitored 20 children who were already taking or planning to take these sugar supplements. They tracked growth, blood sugar, liver function, and other health markers to see if the supplements helped.
