When IVF genetic testing fails: tracking Couples' heartbreaking choices
NCT ID NCT07371312
Summary
This study aims to understand what happens to couples after they go through IVF with genetic testing (PGT) to prevent passing on a severe inherited disease, but do not have a baby from the process. Researchers will follow 900 couples from a Paris clinic to learn about their emotional journey and the different paths they take afterward, such as trying other treatments, adoption, or stopping their efforts to have a child. The goal is to gather knowledge to better support future couples facing similar difficult situations.
