NCT ID NCT06132386
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looked at how aging changes certain enzymes (proteins) in the blood and colon. Researchers collected blood and colon tissue samples from 21 adults, both younger (18-50) and older (65-80). They also checked whether the HIV medications tenofovir and emtricitabine affect these enzymes. The goal was to better understand aging at a cellular level, not to test a treatment.
