Gut bacteria plus amino acids may boost hepatitis b clearance
NCT ID NCT07257562
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a specific gut bacteria (Bacteroides fragilis) and branched-chain amino acids to standard hepatitis B treatment can help clear the virus. Researchers will compare 40 chronic hepatitis B patients getting the combo with a control group on standard therapy alone. The goal is to see if the combo leads to higher rates of HBsAg clearance, a key marker of virus control.
