Chilling new stroke treatment tested during clot surgery
NCT ID NCT07163299
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a cooled magnesium solution directly into the brain's arteries during standard clot-removal surgery is safe and might help people recover better from a major stroke. It will involve 42 adults who have had a stroke and are eligible for the clot-removal procedure. Researchers will compare recovery and side effects between those who receive the new infusion and those who receive standard care.
