New stroke treatment trial tests simpler pill combo against powerful Clot-Busting drug

Summary
This study aims to find out if a combination of two common antiplatelet pills (like aspirin and clopidogrel) works as well as the standard intravenous clot-busting drug (tPA) for treating a specific type of small stroke. Researchers will compare the two treatments in 500 adults who have had a small stroke within the last 4.5 hours. The main goal is to see if the pill combination is just as effective at helping patients recover and if it causes fewer serious bleeding complications.
