New stroke drug aims to stop worsening and recurrence

NCT ID NCT05445895

Summary

This study tested whether a medication called Renexin CR could help patients who recently had a stroke caused by a blood clot (not from the heart). It involved 483 people and compared Renexin CR against an active control treatment. The main goal was to see if the drug could reduce the chance of the stroke getting worse in the hospital or of having another stroke within 90 days.
