Global hunt for answers to deadly stroke treatment complication

NCT ID NCT06394180

Summary

This worldwide study aims to understand why blood vessels sometimes tear during a common stroke treatment called thrombectomy, where doctors remove a clot. Researchers will compare 1,000 patients who experienced this rare but serious complication with those who did not, to identify risk factors and develop better emergency treatment methods. The goal is to make the procedure safer by helping doctors recognize, classify, and respond to these tears more effectively.
