Race against time: new stroke treatment strategy aims to save brain function
NCT ID NCT07253181
Summary
This study is testing whether giving a clot-busting drug (Tenecteplase) at a local hospital before transferring stroke patients to a specialized center for advanced treatment leads to better recovery. The trial involves 572 adults who have had a major stroke due to a blocked brain artery within the last 4.5 to 24 hours. Researchers will compare outcomes between patients who receive the drug before transfer and those who receive standard care during transfer.
