Can a simple ultrasound predict stroke recovery? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07107295

First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at the thickness of a specific layer of back tissue (thoracolumbar fascia) in people who had a stroke at least 6 months ago. Researchers want to see if this thickness is related to balance, trunk control, flexibility, and daily independence. 70 participants will have ultrasound scans and physical tests. The goal is to better understand how stroke affects the body, not to test a new treatment.
