Zapping the ear to help the arm? new stroke rehab trial tests combo therapy
NCT ID NCT07272239
Summary
This study is testing if a new combination of therapies can help people who have had a stroke regain arm function and improve their thinking and daily life. Researchers are combining a non-invasive device that gently stimulates a nerve in the ear with a specialized arm therapy that encourages use of the weakened limb. The goal is to see if this combination works better than the arm therapy alone for 50 people living with long-term effects of a stroke.
