Study tests if 'Multitasking' practice helps stroke survivors walk better
NCT ID NCT07209982
Summary
This study compared two common physical therapy methods to help people walk and balance better after a stroke. Researchers tested if practicing walking while doing a second simple task (like counting) was more helpful than practicing walking alone. Sixty-two stroke survivors, aged 45-65, were randomly assigned to one of the two groups and attended supervised therapy sessions three times a week for six weeks.
