First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested whether combining motor imagery (imagining moving without actually moving) with a type of brain stimulation called paired associative stimulation (PAS) could help people who had a stroke regain arm function. 24 adults who had a stroke at least one month prior participated. The goal was to see if this combination could boost brain plasticity and improve movement in the affected arm.
