New hybrid walking training aims to help stroke survivors lose weight, lower blood pressure, and walk better
NCT ID NCT07420595
Summary
This study tested a new, sequenced walking training program for people who had a stroke at least six months ago and are also dealing with obesity and high blood pressure. Researchers compared a hybrid program using both machine-assisted and conventional walking training against using just one type of training. The goal was to see if the sequenced approach could help people lose weight, lower their blood pressure, and improve their walking ability all at the same time.
