Brain and nerve stimulation trial aims to help stroke survivors regain hand use
NCT ID NCT05736653
Summary
This study is testing whether combining brain stimulation, nerve stimulation, and hand stimulation during practice tasks can improve the connection between the brain and weakened hand muscles after a stroke. Researchers will enroll 40 adults who had a stroke at least six months ago to see if this combination approach increases hand movement and function. The goal is to find new ways to help people recover hand control and dexterity long after their stroke.
