New stroke drug tested in routine care: could it be safer?

NCT ID NCT05697575

First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at how well a new clot-busting drug, non-immune staphylokinase, works for people having a stroke. Researchers will compare it to the standard drug alteplase by tracking bleeding risks and other outcomes in about 336 patients aged 18 to 85. The goal is to see if the new drug is as effective and safe in everyday hospital settings.
