First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a statin (atorvastatin or rosuvastatin) to the standard blood thinner clopidogrel within the first 24 hours after a large-vessel stroke can lower the chance of having another stroke within 90 days. About 600 adults aged 18-75 who have had their first large-vessel stroke will take part. The goal is to find a better way to manage stroke and prevent recurrence.
