Researchers hunt for clues to prevent dangerous bleeding after stroke therapy
NCT ID NCT06337175
Summary
This study aimed to identify which stroke patients are most at risk for bleeding in the brain after receiving the standard clot-busting drug, alteplase. Researchers followed 600 patients in the Middle East who had an ischemic stroke and received this treatment. They analyzed patient characteristics and treatment timing to find predictors for different types of bleeding complications.
