First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested two types of exercises—post-isometric relaxation and simple stretching—to see which better reduces menstrual pain and helps young women stay active. Forty-four unmarried women with painful periods did one of the two exercises three times a week for eight weeks. The goal was to find a safe, drug-free way to ease period pain and improve daily life.
