Summary

This study looks at whether a blood sugar measurement taken before surgery can help predict if a patient will experience confusion or delirium after the operation. Researchers will review medical records from 15,000 adults who had non-brain, non-heart surgeries. The goal is to find a simple way to identify high-risk patients early so doctors can take steps to prevent this serious complication.
