First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at how stress hormones (like cortisol) and personality traits (like resilience) influence how people with overweight or obesity feel during short, intense cycling workouts. Thirty-two adults completed a 10-week program of one-minute hard efforts with short rests. The goal was to understand why some people enjoy or tolerate this type of exercise more than others, which could help create more personalized and sustainable workout plans.
