New exercise combo aims to stop dangerous falls in seniors

NCT ID NCT07380282

Summary

This study tested whether adding strength training to a proven balance exercise program could better help older adults prevent falls. Researchers worked with 28 adults aged 60 and over, comparing the standard balance exercises alone to a combined program with extra strength training. The goal was to see if the combined approach improved both physical stability and participants' confidence in their balance over an 8-week period.
