First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tested whether long-acting injectable medications (aripiprazole and paliperidone) can better manage psychosis in people who use stimulants compared to standard care. 165 participants in Hong Kong received either the study drugs or usual treatment. The goal was to see if these shots could reduce psychotic symptoms and prevent the condition from turning into schizophrenia.
