First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests a drug called Pedmark (sodium thiosulfate) to see if it can prevent hearing loss in adults receiving cisplatin chemotherapy for cancers like testicular, head and neck, or thoracic cancer. About 25 adults will take Pedmark alongside their chemo. The drug is already approved for children, and researchers want to see if it works as well in adults.
